President
Kristen VanZandt is an emergency room nurse in the Baltimore/Washington area. She has been traveling to Guatemala for five years where she has been supporting health care delivery and where she imports Fair Trade ‘tipica’ for sale in the U.S.
Secretary
William Strein earned a doctoral degree in professional psychology from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a tenured faculty member in the College of Education at the University of Maryland, and is nationally recognized for his work on the application of psychology to education.
Treasurer
Mary Campbell earned her M.D. and Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and practiced in the Washington DC area. She has worked with the immigrant community in several professional and volunteer capacities.
Members of the Board
Jeffrey Davis is a professor of political science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He has published articles on human rights in Guatemala, human rights law, judicial fairness and non-consensual decision making. He has also worked as a volunteer with two organizations entrenched in human rights litigation. Before beginning his academic career, Dr. Davis practiced law for five years as a government attorney.
Larry Finnegan is retired from US Census Bureau. He has worked for the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile where he assisted with demographic surveys and censuses in various countries in Central and South America. He has traveled to Guatemala a number of times and has volunteered at the Hospitalito in Santiago de Atitlan.
Dan Schecter operates a consulting firm in the Washington DC area, providing assistance to Federal government agencies, universities, school systems, and corporations. Previously Dan had a 31-year career in the Federal government, most recently as Chief of Staff of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. He holds an advanced degree in Anthropology.

Executive Director
Kenneth Wood earned his Master's in Healthcare Administration from GWU and his Masters in Family and Child Counseling from the United States International University. He lived and worked in Guatemala for seven years and has worked in international development in Latin America, Romania and Haiti.
Director of Communications
Joel Inwood recently graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Global Affairs and a minor in Spanish. Joel is a member of the Phi Beta Delta International Honors Society. He worked as a journalist for The Panama News, The Broadside, Global Tryst and other publications.
